What is Vitiligo?

Human skin has pigmen cell which is called melanocytes, and in vitiligo case, it is the pigment cells that are destroyed, yet the destruction is only in certain areas. Protect your affected skin from the sun.

Applying sunscreen with SPF 30 is advised by many cermatologists. Use the sunscreen generously and reapply every two hours when you are outside of the home or building. It will prevent more white spots to grow.

Wear clothing that protects your skin from direct sunlight and heat. If tanning is considered a good try of curing vitiligo, it is not with bad sunburn.

Use Makeup

Makeup is a good choice to conceal the affected skin. It’s a good try to get your confidence back that you may feel better. Vitiligo sufferers who have white spots or patches on exposed skin will find great benefits of good makeup.

Make friends and Get Good Supports

Let your closest friends know what you are feeling with your condition. It’s good to show them if you’re feeling depressed. Having a good mental condition is all what you need right before getting your first medication. If it is possible, see a good doctor who will always give you so much supports when the condition is getting worse.
