What Kind of Treatment that Fit to Your Burns and Allergies

Redness in skin can be appeared because of several reasons such as burn, acne, allergy, dermatitis, and many more. Some of the redness on the skin might disappear after a couple of days, but some of them are hard to be treated. To get rid of the redness you need to pay attention to the cause of inflammation, because each type of scar needs to be treated by considering their specific cause. We also can’t determine how long until scar redness fades? Because a lot of factors that might influence the healing procedures.

  • How long until the burn scar fades

Burn scar mostly appears as redness, it needs to be treated directly because it tends to leave mark easily. Basically the redness in human skin which is caused by the burn can be divided into three major types including first-degree, second-degree and third degree burns. First degree burn such as sunburn, blister, and scald will disappear after a few days; because it is only damaging the first layer of the skin. To treat first-degree burns, you only need to compress the scared skin with cold water for 15 minutes. As for the second-degree burns, you might need to be more careful in applying the treatment; because you do not only have to compress and clean the scar but you also need to apply antibiotic ointment to avoid further damage.  Third-degree burns are considered to be the most severe wound, because it damages the entire layers of the skin; sometimes it might also lead to death. Third-degree burns can’t be treated by yourself; because small error might cause further problem to the patients. When third-degree burns occur, the first thing you need to do is to call 911 and make sure that the burned skin and your cloth do not stuck together. First-degree burns is usually healing after 20 days while second-degree burns might need more times to heal, third-degree burns is quiet difficult to be treated; it takes months until the scar on your skin heals.

  • How to treat the redness which is caused by allergies

Allergies might also cause redness on the skin; it is occur due to the contact with the allergen after 24 or 48 hours. Redness which is cause by the allergies appear as a reaction of the immune system, to avoid the redness, you only need to keep off from the allergen that might cause the allergies.  Redness which is caused by the allergies is usually followed by itching, burning sensation, thickening, inflaming and tendering. To treat the redness which is caused by allergies, the first thing that you need to do is to wash the affected skin with clean water and apply the moisturizer; if the redness is quite severe, applying prescription-strength ointments is considered important. Usually the redness that appears will heal after you remove the trace of the allergen on your skin; it will disappear after your immune system overcomes the cause of the allergies. To treat the redness in your skin can be done by yourself as long as you know the cause of the inflammation.
