Like other kinds of psoriasis, a plaque psoriasis is caused by fast growth of new skin cells. This growth causes excessive skin cells which turn into skin flakes. Plaque skin might cause dotted rashes or wider-sized rashes which are itchy and painful. These rashes can quickly spread and infect its surrounding area. Therefore, it is important to keep your skin moist during psoriasis infection. To do this, you can grab vitamin E capsule and apply its liquid content onto the white flakes. This will help the flakes to get moist and easier to remove without causing bleeding.

  1. Bathe with warm water and salt

Lukewarm water is beneficial for treating dry skin and reliving itches and pains caused by red patches on your plaque psoriasis-affected areas. Salt is also a natural anti-bacteria which can eliminate harmful germs causing infection.

  1. Olive oil application

Olive oil is effective for plaque psoriasis healing as it moistures the dry skin flakes while reducing the inflammation. Olive oil is safe to rub on the affected areas or to be diluted to bath water.

  1. Get sunlight

Sunlight can help healing psoriasis. However, sunburn will make it worse. You need to cover other areas with sunscreen while get some for the affected areas. Morning sunlight is beneficial and fifteen minutes expose to morning sunlight a day is good for healing plaque psoriasis.

  1. Stay hydrated

Drinking sufficient amount of water daily is really important for healing any skin disorders, including plaque psoriasis. Water promotes collagen production which will replace dry scales.

  1. Reconsidering the diets

Although there is not specific research finding exact result on the relationship between diet choices and psoriasis healing. However, people suffering from plaque psoriasis stated that they experience less soreness by cutting down red meat, nuts, sugar, and caffeine. Instead, fruits and vegetables give a better effect on the entire body, including the plaque psoriasis-infected areas.

Healing psoriasis might not be simple, yet it can still be done at home by doing those methods. Making those a habit is important, in order to prevent further reoccurrence of the dry scales. Keep the skin moist and expose it to healthy sunlight are the simplest methods that can be started as soon as possible and done persistently.
